报告人:Prof Paul Mulvaney, 澳大利亚科学院院士,The University of Melbourne

主持人:Prof Kenneth Ghiggino, The University of Melbourne

报告题目:Nanocrystals - From Synthesis to LEDs and PV devices

报告人简介:Paul Mulvaney is currently Professor of Chemistry in the School of Chemistry and Bio21 Institute at the University of Melbourne and a “1000 Talents Professor” at Chongqing University, China. Mulvaney is the current chair of the Australian Academy of Science National Committee for Chemistry and he chaired the working group that produced the first Decadal Plan for Chemistry, launched in February 2016. He was named one of the most 300 cited materials scientists in the world in 2016. Mulvaney serves as an Associate Editor of the journal ACS Nano. His recent research work, funded through the ARC Laureate Fellowship program (2011-2015) focused on plasmonics – the optical properties of small metal crystals. He has published more than 250 research articles with an average of 100 citations per paper. He is also interested in quantum dot spectroscopy, biolabelling, nanocrystal photovoltaics, QD-LEDs, surface and colloid science and nanophysics.

主持人:Prof Kenneth Ghiggino, The University of Melbourne

报告题目:An alternative way to use the triplet energy of fluorescent dye

in OLED via an external iodide

报告人简介:XIAO Lixin(肖立新), PH.D (2000, The University of Tokyo, Japan), is now a professor of physics, Peking University. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of chemistry, member of The Chinese Optical Society and The Materials Research Society and SPIE. He also serves as assistant director of the State Key Laboratory for Artificial Microstructure and Mesoscopic Physics. His research field is Organic Optoelectronics, in which he has long been engaged in the research of functional materials and devices, such as organic light-emitting diodes (OLED), solar cells, etc. He has published more than 120 papers and 30 patents, 3 books, SCI cited more than 1500 times. He was awarded 2015 first prize of natural science of the Ministry of Education (high efficiency organic blue emitters and its meso structure light emitting devices).

报告人:Prof Sam Zhang, 国际薄膜学会主席, Nanyang Technological University

主持人Prof Shu Kong SO, Hong Kong Baptist University

报告题目:Towards high efficiency thin film solar cells

报告人简介:Sam S. ZHANG, PH.D (1991, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Madison, Wisconsin, USA), is now a professor of Nanyang Technological University. President of the Thin Films Society; Series Editor, CRC Materials Book Principal Editor, JMR; Founding Editor-in-Chief, NNL (2008-2015). He served as Senator of Nanyang Technological University for two terms(May 2008-August 2012); Member of the Committee on Committees of the Senate of Nanyang Technological University (December 2008-May 2009); Member of The NTU Research CouncilSub-Committee for the Discipline Cluster: Physics and Engineering, (12 December 2011- December 2015). His research interests include preparation and characterization of hard and yet tough ceramic nanocomposite coatings, functional thin films, biological coatings, drug delivery for and coatings for clean energy. He has published 11 books and 304 referred journal papers.

报告人:Gerry Wilson, Research Director, Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO), Australia

主持人:Prof Shu Kong SO, Hong Kong Baptist University

报告题目:千里之行,始於足下 (The OPV journey in CSIRO)

报告人简介:Gerry Wilson received his BSc (Hons) from University College Dublin and a PhD from the Research School of Chemistry (ANU). During his career in CSIRO he has managed at various times and combinations; the Water; the Biomaterials; the Surface and Colloid; Security Devices; the Nanomaterials and Polymer Groups. He claims that despite his management, all these groups have had an amazingly high degree of impact – eg extended wear contact lens, security features for polymer banknotes and for other valuable documents, spin outs and joint ventures (PolyNovo and DataTraceDNA), MIEX resin for water purification, major licencing deals with multinationals etc – a tribute he claims is entirely due to the teams of great scientists and business development staff. He is currently Research Director for Industrial Innovation which comprises 90 permanent staff and 40 Fellows including Post Docs and Students working across physics, chemistry and engineering. His research areas include Flexible Printed Electronics, Sensors, Superconductivity, High-speed Instrumentation and Rapid Prototyping.
