Magnetization process of TlCuCl3 up to 100 T

内容简介:

TlCuCl3 is a kind of 3-dimensional spin-1/2 dimer system with a 5.7 T spin gap at low temperature. The magnetization process of this system at limited temperature was thought a realization of Bose-Einstein condensation for magnons, which has two critical magnetic field. In this reason, the magnetization become helpful for us to understanding the quantum spin system. However, the inter-dimer interaction of TlCuCl3 is so strong that the complete magnetization process can only be observed up to 100 T, where that kind of magnetic field only realized by so-call destructive method. And the observation of magnetization is also difficult due to the limited creation time of destructive magnetic field, which is a pulse only several microseconds. In this talk, I gave some interesting results on TlCuCl3 measured with a double-layers parallel magnetization pickup coil which can enhance the signal in magnetization measurement.

2015年毕业于南京航空航天大学大学凝聚态物理专业,目前为东京大学物性研究所强磁场中心在读博士。专注于毫秒量级强磁场下的磁化及磁致伸缩性质的测量。
